Road Cycling Tour - Experienced
Location: Ballinastoe County Wicklow
This tour is suited for experienced road cyclists keen on riding for a couple of hours at a steady tempo, it's not a race but we understand you like to ride fast!
What's Involved?
Our road cycling tour commences from our base at Ballinastoe Woods in County Wicklow, which is situated at the base of the stunning Wicklow mountains. From here we take the opportunity to spend about 15 minutes relaxing with a gourmet coffee, giving us time to discuss and finalise your customised bike ride route, taking into account weather conditions on the day itself. We then 'saddle up' and head off into the mountains for an adventure around the 'Garden of Ireland'.
We generally prefer to ride along quite twisty country roads, through rolling mountainous surrounds, where you have plenty of opportunity to admire and soak up the stunning panoramic views and get a real feel of what's on offer in the countryside. You will pass by famous destinations such as the 'Guinness lake' at Lough Tay, Sally Gap, Glenmacnass Waterfall, Glendalough, Wicklow Gap, Glencree Valley, and the Dublin mountains giving fabulous panoramic views of the Irish sea coastline and Dublin city bay. The cycling tour itself is approximately 3 hours in duration, depending on individual/group ability.
