Welcome to Ticknock Mountain Bike Trail, one of Ireland's five national mountain bike trail centres.
Located in the Dublin Mountains, Ticknock has more than 30km of singletrack which includes 5 blue, 5 red and 6 black mountain bike trails. The routes are all way marked and easy to follow.
Overview
With spectacular views over the Capital City and Dublin Bay it’s no wonder that Ticknock is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the east coast of Ireland. The trails are all sign posted and easy to follow with multiple map boards along the route.

Facilities
The Ticknock Mountain Bike Trails are managed and maintained by Coillte.
- Parking: 100 parking spaces available.
- Cafe: Trails Cafe open 7 days a week.
- Restrooms: There are temporary public toilets onsite.
- Seating: Designated picnic area with benches.
- Information: Map boards displaying the trail network, trail difficulty levels, and recommended routes.
- Way Marking: All trails are sign posted and easy to follow.
- Bike Rental: We are located right at the trailhead but please do book in advance.
Age and Ability
The minimum age we recommend is 11 years old and the minimum height for bike rental is 5’2”.
You simply follow the trail signs, blue, red or black. If you are new to mountain biking, perhaps check out our experiences page for a guided tour.

The Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Trails span counties Offaly and Laois. The Offaly trail head is Kinnitty Village and the Laois trail head is in Baunreagh.
