Trek Checkpoint
About Trek Checkpoint

It’s right for you if…

You favour epic gravel adventures that end with a big beverage and a burrito. But that doesn’t mean you’ll compromise on performance. You expect to get a lot for your hard-earned money, including quality, versatility, durability and a ridiculous amount of fun.

The tech you get

A stout 300 Series Alpha Aluminium frame with a progressive geometry that’s stable at speed and efficient when you’re grinding up a climb, hidden cables that won’t interfere with bags, rack and mudguard mounts and integrated frame bag mounts, a 1×12 SRAM Apex drivetrain for grinding up hills or through rough gravel, hydraulic disc brakes for all-condition stopping power, tubeless-ready rims and wide Bontrager GR1 Team Issue 700x40c gravel tyres for added stability and traction.

The final word

If the amount of adventure you can get per pound spent is a priority for you, the Checkpoint ALR 5 is your ride. Quality parts, a durable alloy frame and a wealth of features like extra tyre clearance and customisation options so you can confidently take on bigger, better adventures.

Did a fantastic gravel ride led by Brian. It was great to be shown around on a route tailored to my ability and interest. Bike was in good shape and well-serviced, and it was great to start and end at their cafe for a coffee. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see the sights on a bike from knowledgeable folks!

The bike was in perfect condition, and riding it was a breeze. Everything worked great, and they even let you borrow a helmet for free. The trails are well-made, especially the red one. It’s clear a lot of thought went into it. After riding, grabbed a coffee at their place. It was good, and they’ve got other stuff to eat too. But the best part? The views from the top are amazing.

Very easy to make a booking. Helpful staff. Good and maintained bikes. Challenging trails for a novice mountain biker. Loads of parking space. Great experience to be remembered.
