The Ticknock Mountain Bike Trails, managed and maintained by Coillte, offer various facilities to enhance visitors’ experience. These include:

  • Parking: Ample parking spaces are available near the trailhead for visitors’ convenience.
  • Information Boards: Information boards or signage offering details about
    the trails, safety guidelines, and points of interest.
  • Restrooms: There are no public toilets onsite.
  • Picnic Areas: Designated picnic area with benches.
  • Trail Maps: Maps displaying the trail network, trail difficulty levels, and recommended routes to help visitors navigate the area.
  • Bike Rental: We are located right at the trailhead but please do book in advance.

While these facilities contribute to a more enjoyable and comfortable experience for individuals and families exploring the Ticknock Mountain Bike Trail area, please note that Coillte do have plans to develop a more suitable trail head building in the very near future.

 

Age and Ability

The minimum age we recommend is 11 years old and the minimum height for bike rental is 5’2”.

You simply follow the trail signs, blue, red or black. If you are unsure, perhaps check out our experiences page for a guided tour.
