Ticknock Mountain Bike Trail in Dublin – directions here.

Your Gravel bike tour of Dublin can be customised to suit your level of cycling experience and aspiration.

Choose between quiet rolling Bohereen’s around the lower hills of the Dublin Mountains or venture up higher into the mystical peat and heather covered landscapes to take in the dramatic views over Dublin City and the east coastline of Ireland.

The tours start with a meet and greet at our Dublin base in Ticknock, where you discuss the planned route with your guide over a complimentary barista coffee.

Your premium level ‘Trek Checkpoint’ Gravel bike is selected, after which there is a safety briefing and basic bike fit to get you comfortable on your bike. Then we start the tour gently on the preplanned route of your selected Gravel biking tour.

Your guide will chat about the history of the landscape you cycle through while the pace of the tour is determined by your level of fitness, cycling experience and whether you prefer a leisure tour or expert tour.

There will be plenty of rest stops and photograph opportunities along the 50% quiet country roads and 50% quiet forest trails route of your Gravel Tour. It will take in dramatic historical landscapes such as megalithic tombs dating back to 3500BC, Dublin Bay and we might even stop at the famous Johnny Fox’s Pub, the highest pub in Ireland, for some refreshments!

Due to the hilly nature of the area, this tour is only suitable experienced gravel riders.

Did a fantastic gravel ride led by Brian. It was great to be shown around on a route tailored to my ability and interest. Bike was in good shape and well-serviced, and it was great to start and end at their cafe for a coffee. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see the sights on a bike from knowledgeable folks!

The bike was in perfect condition, and riding it was a breeze. Everything worked great, and they even let you borrow a helmet for free. The trails are well-made, especially the red one. It’s clear a lot of thought went into it. After riding, grabbed a coffee at their place. It was good, and they’ve got other stuff to eat too. But the best part? The views from the top are amazing.

Very easy to make a booking. Helpful staff. Good and maintained bikes. Challenging trails for a novice mountain biker. Loads of parking space. Great experience to be remembered.
