Ballinastoe Mountain Bike Trail in Wicklow – directions here.

Your road tour can be customised to suit your level of cycling experience and aspiration.

Choose between quiet rolling roads around the beautiful Vartry Lakes or head into the Wicklow Mountains to take in the dramatic views which the “Garden of Irelands” has to offer. The tours start with a meet and greet at our Wicklow base, where you discuss the planned route with your guide over a complimentary barista coffee.

Your premium level full carbon fibre road bike (with helmet) is selected, after which there is a safety briefing and basic bike fit to get you comfortable on your bike. Then we start the tour gently on the preplanned route of your selected road biking tour.

Your guide will chat about the history of the landscape you cycle through while the pace of the tour is determined by your level of fitness, cycling experience and whether you prefer a leisure pace or training ride!

There will be plenty of rest stops and photograph opportunities along the route of dramatic historical landscapes, such as Glendalough Monastic Site, The Guinness lake/ Lough Tay, the Glenmacnass waterfall, the Powerscourt Waterfall and you can even cycle along the old military roads connecting Wicklow and Dublin.

This tour is suitable for cycling fanatics or groups of friends and families looking for an enjoyable leisure cycling activity that is off the beaten track and immersed in nature.

Did a fantastic gravel ride led by Brian. It was great to be shown around on a route tailored to my ability and interest. Bike was in good shape and well-serviced, and it was great to start and end at their cafe for a coffee. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see the sights on a bike from knowledgeable folks!

The bike was in perfect condition, and riding it was a breeze. Everything worked great, and they even let you borrow a helmet for free. The trails are well-made, especially the red one. It’s clear a lot of thought went into it. After riding, grabbed a coffee at their place. It was good, and they’ve got other stuff to eat too. But the best part? The views from the top are amazing.

Very easy to make a booking. Helpful staff. Good and maintained bikes. Challenging trails for a novice mountain biker. Loads of parking space. Great experience to be remembered.
